Commercial toilet & Shower partitions
Toilet & Shower partitions shall comply with the Drawings, Building Regulations and relevant Standards;
- All panels and doors constructed of 13mm compact laminate, solid core with decorative laminate on both sides.
- All aluminium components: wall channel, corner posts and head rail shall be natural anodised clear finish unless specified otherwise.
- Door hardware shall comprise of lift off spring conceal fixed safety hinges, indicator latch and shall include matching coat hook. The door shall be readably removable from the outside.
- Doors and Divisional Panels shall be a minimum of 1800mm high including a floor clearance of 170mm - 195mm. (Doors and divisional panels for use in Primary schools shall be a minimum of 1500mm high.)
The BCA, Volume 1, Section FP2.5 requires that a sanitary compartment shall be constructed with sufficient space or other means to permit an unconscious occupant to be removed from the compartment.
