Scope

This section covers the specification and detailing of vehicular doors such as roller shutters, tilt doors and panel doors.

Specifications

Commencement

Work shall commence as soon as practical after, but not before,
(a) the Builder has issued:
  • a written order
  • the relevant contract drawings, specifications and schedule of work
  • written approval of any details provided by the Contractor
(b) the walls adjacent to the vehicle doors have been constructed.

Installation

Vehicular doors shall be installed in accordance with AS/NZS 4505 such that they provide the specified opening size, including head clearance. The Contractor shall provide to the Builder, two sets of keys for each door.
There shall be a minimum clearance of 1950 mm between the finished floor level and the open door height in accordance with AS/NZS 4505 Clause 11.2.
